A core principle of their practice is what they call the 3-6-12 Philosophy. Many eye conditions cannot be diagnosed from a single examination and instead require monitoring over time. Depending on the level of risk, they may recommend reviews at 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month intervals to establish baselines, detect progression, and intervene early when necessary. This philosophy underpins our approach to glaucoma, myopia progression, dry eye disease, keratoconus, retinal disease, and many other conditions where early detection can help preserve vision.

Even when no significant concerns are identified, they generally recommend a comprehensive eye examination every 12 months. They assess eye teaming, focusing, and visual comfort problems that may contribute to headaches, eyestrain, reading difficulties, computer fatigue, and reduced visual efficiency.
